Brand Review: Forest Essentials

issue five : a feast for gluttony

We all have preconceived notions of foreign lands. It’s an unavoidable human condition. Whether positive or negative, it is only until we visit other countries – different to our own – can we truly feast on their offerings. One such place for me was India. While this was not my first visit, every time I go there, I am reminded that this exotic country has so much more to offer than what appears on its surface and is nothing like it’s portrayal in the film, Slum Dog Millionaire.

On my most recent trip, I was introduced to this incredible brand called Forest Essentials by my very dear friend, Aashka Goradia-Goble. She took me to one of their stores and I was instantly mesmerised. It was a feast for the eyes and the senses. Only then did I try the products. Let me assure you, every single one was a feast for the soul (and the skin, of course). I had found my “home” in India.

The packaging of Forest Essentials blew me away. As did the ingredients. Up until this introduction, all my preconceived ideas about Ayurvedic beauty was home-made remedies and all the store-bought Ayurvedic products I had found was filled with all the usual crap. This was different. This brand was the epitome of untainted. It was pleasing to the eye and appealing to all. It was effective and it was filled with nothing but untainted ingredients. Not to mention, it fitted in perfectly to this issue; ‘A Feast for Gluttony’.

Here are just two of the mouthwatering products I purchased to add to my personal bathroom shelf, as well as one for my pro-kit.
