I’ve been a fan of Nourish Skin Care from the very start of my journey into the wonderful world of untainted beauty, and have carried a number of their products both in my professional kit as well as on my personal bathroom shelf.
The Kale 3D Cleanser is no exception. I love the fact that this product has a ‘gimmick’. Rest assured, gimmicks are not something that usually interests me, but every now and again, actually “seeing” a product work makes you feel like it was money well spent. Right?
The ‘gimmick’ to this product, however, is far more than just some marketing ploy. It is, more of a timer, if you will. Assuming, of course, you have read the introduction to this issue: ‘A Feast for Gluttony’, you will know the concept of ‘gluttony’ here, upon these virtual pages, is not the general narrative of the word, but rather an all-important lesson in how to become gluttonous with our time.
So what makes Kale 3D Cleanser different from every other untainted cleaner on the market? Well, it changes colour while you use it. But it takes time to change colour. Indicating that the act of washing your face to rid it of the abundance of gross things city living imparts on our fragile skin, shouldn’t be just another slap-dash task. It takes time to effectively and efficiently remove the build of grime and pollution that we land up wearing on a daily basis. Once the product has turned green, you know that you have spent enough time washing your face.
Of course, there is more. Not only does it give us back some invaluable ‘alone time’ (even if that is only while washing our face), it also contains two super-foods (which perfectly fit into the other angle of the gluttony narrative). Kale and Griffonia detoxifies and protects the skin against pollution, helping to minimise signs of ageing, while the hyaluronic acid, probiotics and oxygenating extracts work in synergy to energise and refresh the skin as this facial wash lifts makeup and grime.
Looking for a new face wash – or just an opportunity for some alone time?
Apply to damp skin and massage your face gently, working your way around your entire face. Don’t rush, just enjoy the process.
