Product Review : Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation

issue seven : folklore & fairytales

There is an old fable that says Cleopatra used to bath herself in asses milk as part of her beauty ritual. Fortunately for us, milking donkey's is no longer 'in vogue'. This review, my friends, is no fable... it is the story of a white witch named Ere Perez and her magic Oat Milk Foundation.

This dreamy foundation formulation contains - wait for it.... oat milk as it's hero ingredient - which is said to help balance the pH levels of your skin and contains gentle natural exfoliating properties which assist with evening out skin tone.  In this fairy tale, there is no wicked witch trying to keep herself young, but there is a good witch, a fairy Godmother if you will ensuring everyone gets an equal footing to fairy tale-worthy skin. One that takes care of all our #untaintedbeauty requirements and her magic potion is a must for anyone looking for a light-weight, buildable (from a medium to full coverage), long-lasting, breathable, hydrating foundation.  She has also made sure that it is safe to use on the fairest of maidens (those with sensitive skin).

There are currently six colours in the range, suitable for maidens from lands far and near. I recently used the colour Chai on the delightful Alex, who played Little Red Ridinghood in our Blushing Beauties editorial. You can see this foundation in action below. This image was taken on film and has had no retouching what so ever, so I feel it's a great way to show you what the foundation really looks like on skin. I love this colour because it has a good yellow undertone and works well on warm and neutral skin undertones (which most - but not all - of us have).

So if you're currently finding yourselves lost through the overgrown woods (aka: the over-saturated world of beauty), may this foundation be your savior. Just like a guiding light in the darkness, a little goes a long way.
