The WWF released a report on at the end of October 2018, that states that we have lost 60% of the worlds animals since the 1970’s. That is a shocking figure and we only have ourselves to blame.
WE ARE THE FIRST GENERATION THAT HAS A CLEAR PICTURE OF THE VALUE OF NATURE AND OUR IMPACT ON IT. WE MAY BE THE LAST THAT CAN TAKE ACTION TO REVERSE THIS TREND. FROM NOW UNTIL 2020 WILL BE A DECISIVE MOMENT IN HISTORY.
This world is in a sad, sorry state of affairs. Our actions - or lack thereof - directly impact the lives of all animals that roam this great earth. We are not immune. While man might think he is superior, he is not. While he may think he is at the top of the food chain, the irony is his ego will destroy him and all those that roam this great earth.
We can change things. Little by little, we can mitigate our impact and leave a legacy of hope for our children.
This issue emphasis explores the impact we are having on the environment and animals though our greed and consumption. Being a beauty platform, we discuss the difference between vegan, cruelty free and clean beauty and share our favourite untainted alternatives in these categories.
We will consider the human condition, our intimate connection to nature and take an adventure into the jungle of life.
My hope, is that through the promise of something greater, rather than the threat of extinction, you are inspired to make what ever great or small changes you can in your day to day life that positively impact our magnificent blue planet.
